But you would be missing out on almost all of the context and the incredible stories hidden in plain sight. In some respects, it is like watching a foreign movie without any subtitles. You can appreciate the visuals, but you are completely missing the plot. This audio guide is like a really good set of subtitles for the Old Town Square. Compared to the price of hiring a live tour guide, it’s a bit of a bargain, really. It gives you a similar depth of information but with the complete freedom to go at your own pace, which is hugely valuable, you know. I think this guide is pretty much perfect for a solo traveler like me, or for couples or families who want to understand what they’re looking at without being herded around in a big tour group. It makes an already beautiful place feel significantly more meaningful, and for the price of a couple of coffees, that’s an incredibly good deal, anyway.
