1. Chichen Itza: Mayan Grandeur Personified
Chichen Itza is easily first, obviously. We can agree to that, pretty much? A visit to this famous archeological spot is basically more than a peek at old stones. This is a direct, and it’s like you go face-to-face with the ingenuity and artistic ability of the Maya civilization. Really, it’s kind of awesome. El Castillo, likely Chichen Itza’s iconic pyramid, stands tall, and honestly, it almost tells of the Maya’s intense ability with astronomy and math through its super precise design, right? So, take your time here. Almost roam around the grounds and think about what it must have been like here centuries prior.

2. Tulum: Art with a Seaside View
Then there’s Tulum. Yes, Tulum, is that the word?, a sight that almost everyone adores and admires! I mean, so pretty much everybody! Tulum is fairly distinct because, see, it hangs perched high up on a cliff directly by the dazzling turquoise waters. Anyway, picture the amazing Maya architecture that comes together along with nature’s splendor. Now that’s really saying something. Here, that is where you will find structures like El Castillo, also it was a lighthouse, in a way? and the Temple of the Descending God. These buildings are sort of covered with carvings and detail, very artistic. It might be an opportunity to picture what it meant for the Maya traders and people that used it as the strategic spot way back when. You might?

After that, move a bit inland and just find the colonial town of Valladolid, as a matter of fact. The town feels way different from the coast! So? Walk around the central plaza and find the relaxed lifestyle. The architecture here is kind of pretty with ancient, vivid buildings, that too surrounding the area. So, that being said, the San Bernardino de Siena Convent stands out as, in other words, a stunning place to consider old times. More or less? That building represents both Maya and Spanish influences combined together. Don’t forget just roaming around and just getting to know the local artists and crafts at the nearby boutiques, that could be enjoyable. And if you buy a treat from a vendor?

Very, next there’s Izamal. That’s really painted primarily bright yellow! Like you’re stepping directly into a color and an art idea. Just walking by way of its streets, could be enjoyable for someone interested? As a matter of fact, that golden shade appears, seemingly, nearly all the time when considering walls, buildings, everything actually. I am serious. That history that is in Izamal has to do with Maya as well as the colonial times. And don’t forget the Convent of San Antonio de Padua. Very much so. Just see the massive church sitting on top of a Maya pyramid. It says something about, too, blending cultures.
