It’s also mixed with the cries of seagulls, so pretty much setting the scene, like you would picture in a movie. Don’t be shy to stroll along the waterfront. Here, local artists showcase some of their masterpieces and charming boutiques will catch your eye too it’s almost as if you can sample local crafts.

A visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, it is worth every single penny! Inside, they host tons of marine life. It’s everything from sea otters and penguins to sharks and jellyfish, just mind-blowing stuff. Basically, it’s not rare to find people totally captured by the mesmerizing jellyfish exhibit or to stand in awe before the enormous Open Sea tank. Right? Looking for a laid-back vibe that’s a little closer to home? It might be worth visiting Capitola Village, very much the sweet little village and a short jaunt down the road from Santa Cruz. It really stands out because, the vibrant homes on the waterfront create a distinctive and picturesque scene, quite picture perfect isn’t it?!

The very hub of Capitola is the beach. Now this is just ideal for some sunbathing, building sandcastles, and just chilling by the sea. The water’s frequently mild. 5. Davenport: Coastal Scenery and Whale Watching

You could just consider taking a trip up north from Santa Cruz to Davenport, it is small but provides beautiful coastline landscapes with superb opportunities to watch some whales, right? This is like a gem for the fans of scenery and the people keen for peaceful times!

As I was saying Davenport boasts pretty beaches hugged by impressive bluffs, almost awesome if I am being frank. The bluffs, by the way give spots with exceptional views from which you could see whales. It’s fairly amazing, in my opinion. The quiet. Like the waves crashing against rock.

For anyone who wants a hike. Plenty trails nearby for everyone from novices up to that experienced bunch. They all loop near dramatic sections, a person should check what looks like a coastal setting at its purest form there too.

The main drag in Davenport that features just a couple quaint eateries or shops – perfect for some tasty treats if needed. These little businesses feature creations out of locally based arts alongside antiques that contribute flavor, so giving everything a distinctive edge.

Grey Whale Cove State Beach, this gorgeous small enclave just off Highway 1. Perfect that. An intimate escape that I recommend, right. The drive towards it that highlights, quite clearly just what kind of natural scenery comes easy over here!

You know what that Davenport represents the spot. When it looks really, really cool. But just not jam packed – what could be finer than somewhere quiet?! Honestly a person hoping coastal views whale action can easily spend that perfect relaxing time there.
