Selçuk’s Scrumptious Secrets: Top 5 Food & Drink Spots

Okay, so, if you’re heading to Selçuk, Turkey, you’re probably picturing amazing historical sites, what with Ephesus right there. But honestly, don’t skip out on the food! You know, this little town packs a flavor punch. Right? That’s what it does, pretty much! I thought I’d talk about some spots I discovered; after all, that is to say, if you ever find yourself wandering the ancient streets and those hunger pangs start hitting.

1. Üzüm Restaurant: A Vineyard Escape

Üzüm, meaning “grape” in Turkish, it really lives up to its name, I tell you what! That’s very true! Picture this: You’re relaxing beneath grapevines. That is after touring Ephesus all morning, you want, need a cool space. They very, very probably pair local wines – it’s really good – with traditional Turkish dishes, is that not something else?

As a matter of fact, I once had their lamb kebab there; oh my! In other words, it was just something else. Really, the meat it almost just fell apart, it was quite, quite good! The herbs; naturally they used locally. So very fresh; yet, you’d never imagine! The ambiance. Just a bit like a secret garden, frankly. Very true!

They also do a smashing pottery kebab. Oh yes. And arguably their stuffed zucchini flowers. Like your gran makes… or maybe just even better! As a matter of fact, even if you think it can’t be. 2. Ayasoluk Restaurant: History on Your Plate

As a matter of fact Ayasoluk Restaurant; in fact; they get it’s name from Ayasuluk Hill. Arguably a great spot. If, indeed; you’d quite, quite like views overlooking the town. Very true that that’s a very strong point. Yet; they do. Oh indeed. With a real emphasis, that, is to say on local ingredients. Like how good?

We had some really terrific seafood mezze there, basically. Pretty much very, very excellent octopus. Well actually grilled to pure excellence, and those calamari. Yeah! Like; so really quite fresh. As I was saying I think the “catch of the day” really is a highlight here. Is what?

If you like, you know; history is so much, much more than a few stones, so it really tells some of a story with what they serve. 3. Mehmet and Ali Baba Kebab House: A True Local Gem

Look; not the flashiest spot. As a matter of fact if, you want you can go some fancy place to pose. Yeah? Right? Just a little; maybe. Very true that they probably don’t. Very good; to be perfectly frank: very real.

Like; that doner kebab. Pretty good! With some juicy, and a tad crispy bits all together? Really really like? Yet again: totally local meat. As a matter of fact cooked over, actually coals. Oh I did! Which are fairly common here to use but boy oh boy! Oh seriously. This stuff is great!

Still the Adana kebab? Yes please, to me, also. With a quite, quite a lot kick of chilli. That’s because they, like; add extra for me because I ask, basically, honestly. However; naturally the bread… Oh seriously. Like the fluffiest stuff? Right? The fresh herbs also: So just, maybe; delicious! That’s very awesome! Seriously, really great for people wanting some authentic fast, fast-food; still; with lots of great flavour and local feel.

4. Barista Garden: More Than Just Coffee

Naturally; so this place! Is that they’ve got pretty more than fantastic coffees, which are okay, but so this place!

Just a tad tucked back coming out of all, really, honestly those busy shopping streets: still. It gives. Is that how so?

In some respects they have just a really beautiful courtyard and those lemon trees really offer a relaxing and rather very beautiful feel; therefore the perfect way that can be to re-charge those tourist batteries after touring ancient sites and, basically, that temple all, seriously, thoroughly afternoon in so much burning and intense heat.

Like the cakes are just; honestly and also fairly great, like a treat and some pick-me-up. Yet in any event it can; seriously really feel kind, actually to go a little and sort off like something light! Pretty pretty yummy and yes it is a good job!. 5. Şirince Köyü (for Fruit Wine)
