1. Fish Restaurants in Virpazar: A Taste of the Lake

No visit to Skadar Lake is quite complete, actually, that is, in my honest opinion, if you do not try the Vranac wine. In other words, “Vranac” basically means “black horse,” which is like saying, sort of, dark, it’s strong and potent! Seemingly, that goes, as a matter of fact, right to the wine. More or less, produced from grapes grown in vineyards, I think, that you get right here, on the sunny slopes circling Skadar Lake, actually it gives a totally unique flavor.
You should visit one of the wineries dotted, in a way, around the area to properly experience the full experience! Just a little number of places offer wine-tasting trips! What is important, however, is that it gives you a close glimpse into the wine-making process and, really, that all important chance to taste the rich fruity flavors for yourself!
Try, in a way, Vinarija Mašanović seemingly where that old, sort of, familial passion combines, I would say, very naturally, with traditional techniques, apparently it makes some very distinctive wines, so. 3. Local Cheeses and Prosciutto: A Montenegrin Delicacy
Looking, actually, for a quick bite while at Skadar Lake? So, it might just have to be a local cheese plate, or it can be the prosciutto. I find that just those sorts of flavors are, in some respects, Montenegrin classics. Many of those restaurants and little local stores across Skadar Lake feature those types of things. Also that they source most products locally, so seemingly those items are always really at peak freshness.

That family spot by Skadar Lake delivers, to be honest, what a lot of travellers see, or at least dream about, in a spot like this: real food crafted using ingredients which come totally fresh and in season.
With the dishes seemingly like they’ve come out from your Grandmother’s cookbook.
