Aix-en-Provence, that’s a town so soaked in history and sunshine, too it’s almost begging you to wander around and eat everything in sight. Forget quick bites, though. 1. Le Formal: Fine Dining with a Provençal Heart
Le Formal, very much tucked away from the crowds, well so there’s this spot where elegance meets Provence charm. Picture this: a small, more or less intimate space and it’s really one with, that almost makes you feel like you are eating in someone’s rather lovely home. That, very, so could be something rather amazing? I think it could be. The dishes are just so creative and a little sophisticated, a lot, anyway featuring fresh ingredients sourced straight from the local markets. So, the flavors? A dance on your tongue. From melt-in-your-mouth lamb to unbelievably delicate seafood, honestly you’ll find dishes so incredibly thought out with skill and a heck of a lot of love.
The chef, so it seems anyway, really knows how to, just basically put a totally modern spin on some proper classics. Actually, their wine list is just incredibly extensive too it’s almost perfect, you know. Expect knowledgeable service, not, actually, you know, too fussy. That said the experience, so basically, elevates dinner to something a touch extraordinary. A taste to remember long after you’ve left Aix. 2. Pâtisserie Bechard: A Sweet Surrender
Pâtisserie Bechard is just the perfect stop if your looking for that sugary pick me up. It’s on Cours Mirabeau, and seems to be very loved. From the instant, too it’s almost the second you wander by the doors, honestly that sweetness fills you up, but just because its great smells doesn’t mean that they forget about looks. You almost want a camera! Every cake, little tart and croissant, arguably, seems to just shout out to you – “Eat me!”.
Very, arguably, famed for their super fine Calissons. (that local almond and candied melon sweet). Honestly these are sweet with such care. If thats the one item you choose you are off to a pretty good start. Yet I’m rather partial to their pain au chocolat. A wonderful combination of flaky and chocolaty happiness if i’m, being straight up with you. Bechard’s an absolute institution, actually it shows. It’s totally great for, just a quick stop to fill your batteries up, like on the go treats that make wandering so awesome. Plus the place itself, right so just basically feels quite lovely. A good piece of Aix.

3. Fromagerie du Passage: Cheese Dreams are Made of This
Listen up those with an absolute want for cheese, Fromagerie du Passage, yet you probably should make a trip to, is that tiny store so awesome, full to the ceiling. Basically the cheesemonger, obviously seems to love what he is doing. His help, that always includes letting people just test stuff, makes it like its own cool piece to do in Aix, seriously its the kind that changes you for a life time.. We got different of hard and gooey cheese, stinky ones plus smooth types as well – mostly crafted in the areas nearby. The man’s insight gave me more awareness of the different tastes plus made picking just so awesome and easy!
Let him create some type of perfect mix that could be enjoyed with wines. Also so the little store’s the place that changes your thinking and gets people all mixed together and chatting, maybe while eating just really amazing stuff. Getting cheeses in there could very much, even turn to something epic. Don’t even dream to leave without experiencing just an incredible cheese stop.

4. Restaurant Mitch: Pizza Perfection in Aix
Need something cozy and that’s tasty? Okay then you should just look up Restaurant Mitch that could very much feel chill! Okay then here’s that fun restaurant with an amazing view, one thats like your go-to spot because, for great pizzas anyway that you could be craving! Here those super thin-crust type and freshly made are only so simple with just lovely sauces, super yummy and really cool that has tons and tons of herbs from close to them.
Very simple to watch that pizzaiolo, seriously like a pro. He spins that bread, slaps tons on and then quickly gets it to those hot stone ovens. That, the vibes from the location makes one super casual stop after the adventures. Actually, Restaurant Mitch feels more about taste made better – don’t miss it to change the pace and give the mood like in the location in Aix! Enjoy eating and just make life awesome like theirs is and is pretty real deal of everything really!

5. Le Coq’Aix: Simple, Savory Rotisserie Chicken
Sometimes you just really should want anything that feels hearty? I do to! And no need to worry that all needs, that is that just needs to get expensive because really nothing here says how your day works at all!. Very basically try out Coq’Aix because seriously, just try out that tasty cooked meats, or should I just straight out call them rotisserie chicken!. Like you might be just wandering the roads plus could seriously catch great smells when there and that makes it tough that one does not just grab one of such choices!
There you could select an amount of hen so juicy. Then it all comes that herb mixture around one, those crisp body, or maybe a bit more to love?. Add roasted potatos in, then greens so easy and one instant dinner and those could very much tell some story! Those could very much be your spot, well a local spot with the locals and travellers getting just one shared satisfaction – good eats!. So take meals on your adventures if ever there, you understand the Aix lifestyle!
