It’s not just a spot for bookworms; the Bibliotheca houses museums, art galleries, and a planetarium, really covering all the cultural bases. Be sure to explore the manuscript museum where you can glimpse beautifully written books of bygone days. They make them like they used to! You know?

I guess you could say, what makes this spot special? Well, the library really does host lots of events, workshops, and exhibitions, so in some respects, there’s always something going on. Looking for something unique? Alright, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are basically one of the largest Roman burial sites in Egypt. This just feels like something out of a movie! Very!. I guess you could describe this space as it shows a blend of Egyptian and Roman architectural styles, too. As you travel the chambers underground, you may just begin to see wall carvings and painted decorations.

Finally, we are wrapping up at Mohamed Ali Square, which, for all intents and purposes, offers a relaxing vibe amid Alexandria’s busy city center. The square has the Mohamed Ali statue, but provides plenty of space to stroll around, sip some delicious coffee at a nearby café, and to people watch! Who does not like doing that?

Basically, what I feel makes this spot great is the ambiance; the square’s got it going on. It’s almost the center of daily life, with everyone kinda enjoying each other’s company. I also, might mention, it’s just an awesome way to get to experience the local culture! Really connect! Oh, that also means to be nice. I would encourage anyone visiting the city to visit this Square!
