It might be surprising, or at least, that’s how I found it anyway, that you are on Sal Island’s main hub. That includes, very, the local markets. Where you find Cape Verdean artisans, so they sell handcrafts, arguably, or that they serve dishes from Cape Verde. It’s that local encounter, just a little, that adds depth. Plus, listening to tales about the town from way back makes all the spots glow with insight.

Anyway, remember that, because it is a walking tour. The pace depends if it’s slow or not, and if you have a physical disability, it may be best to avoid this one, actually.
