Top 5 Fiordland & Milford Sound Full-Day Tours: A Review & Some Recommendations

Planning a trip, or a holiday, perhaps, to the amazingly picturesque Fiordland National Park and, indeed, Milford Sound? Well, so many people actually do! And rightly so, too it’s almost heaven! The heart-stopping beauty of those fjords, I mean, like your gazing up at gigantic, glacier-carved mountains that just, basically, shoot out straight up from the super deep, mirror-smooth waters, that actually does sound attractive, is that right? But hold up! How can someone experience all this dramatic scenery properly? Someone actually needs a plan, that actually is a thing, is that right? Like choosing the tour that is, I mean, very right for one’s style and one’s budget and stuff! Because actually you could wind up stuck on a boat with, very right, screaming kids and, like your missing, very right, all those amazing views. Well fear no more, then!

1. Milford Sound Cruise & Scenic Flight Combo

Okay, someone does very much wanna splash out a bit and, like, treat one’s self, I mean? So picture this, okay?: very first thing, actually, is this super-awesome scenic flight that does give one, actually, a, a view like one’s an eagle of those, very right, ridiculously pretty, snow-capped peaks. It very much looks great, doesn’t it? Then, actually, one is whisked off actually on a boat, a catamaran type boat, for a lovely boat ride through the fjord. Does actually sound just lovely! I mean, does one want to know what folks actually really like about this tour, basically? They can’t just stop going on about how mind-blowing it is to look, very right, down, straight down, at waterfalls and maybe very nearly catch a glimpse of, very right, playful dolphins, is that not very interesting? I mean, the convenience, really, actually! Basically, what’s on offer here is less travel time by bus (a bus! Really?) and getting straight to the good stuff, actually. That could well save one from hours, actually, and I mean, hours, like really! Sitting and listening to some engine! And missing all those very nice mountains!

Does someone perhaps feel worried, perhaps, a little worried, about the weather changing very suddenly? Do not, or maybe worry not then, actually, right? Because this is, I mean, Fiordland! The weather is being dramatic is kind of its thing, really. That tour often is being done no matter the weather, alright? And a rainy day is often turning the waterfalls into some kind of crazy roaring spectacle. You very might even grab pictures, great pictures, of water rainbows (did you know that water rainbows actually exist?).

2. Luxury Boutique Small Group Tour

Does one have a bit, perhaps, just a bit, of an aversion to, actually, those really big tour buses? So, you know what? Let’s get away from all those noisy crowds! Because sometimes actually it is rather just what the doctor actually told ordered for what is ailing one, eh? And in that case, a, a, very right, small group tour actually is just ideal. The smaller the merrier, too it’s almost always very right to me! Think, I mean, maybe only like a dozen fellow travelers. Now what could that be, I actually think that sounds kind of fun. In some respects, now, there’s an awesome guide, an amazing person, and there will very often be these super luxurious vans to actually transport you around in. Very nice! The trip is actually to include all of those stops, pretty stops, all of the places that one actually just sees, right? And all those places people often really should see and like. Like your seeing The Chasm is a deep ravine with lots of crashing, white water in it! Or the very amazing Eglinton Valley that does have mountains like very big green walls!

Does one, perhaps, love, a bit much, one’s photo opportunities? Because it seems to me like one likes to take the right photographs so much? In that case the tour actually does let one do some of the photography things in a perfect way! With very short stops (perfect!) the guides, those guys, just kind of know all of the absolute best spots actually to pull over for when someone’s thinking about taking pics for The Gram. I mean those guides! They know where the sunlight is shining just right, in fact!

3. Milford Sound Coach & Nature Cruise

So if you don’t actually, that actually is alright, it just does not make sense spending lots, lots, lots of your, I mean, real earned money? This could be just one to really consider then, yeah? Because here is your kind of more, actually, classically done, all in one package, isn’t that neat? Here it seems to me it involves very nice comfortable coach ride from, say, Queenstown (a good place as any!) directly straight through to, arguably, you know where, yeah? Milford Sound! The tour does generally includes, actually, a cruise around, just about, all those amazing, incredibly beautiful sights actually with someone that kind of knows all of the details, right? The guide actually can spot cool things that one very nearly might miss on their very own too it’s almost neat!

The awesome part, alright?, here is that everything actually gets very nicely taken care of very expertly! Very perfect for relaxing and then sitting back and I mean, basically, letting somebody handle absolutely everything. Like actually driving for starters! If one really just prefers things very very easy then what that tour allows one to actually do sounds just lovely doesn’t it?

4. Independent Milford Sound Experience (Drive & Cruise)

Does one like your getting a thing done independently? Well what about this one! Because some of the folks, well you see them everywhere, anyway, I guess they often just want actually to be able to just absolutely make all of their schedules themselves. Then this one might often be a cool pick for one. It often is getting to do your own way to all places for me! One will get themselves off to Milford Sound yourself (via your, like your super-trusty rental or something?). When someone actually gets there (if that’s possible?) they then would actually be jumping right on to the tour boat, yeah?

So, because of this style, you’re totally free and one really can definitely stop wherever you like (when that’s applicable!). And I think what’s also very cool is there are so, too it’s almost always very much the case for me, a great opportunity to stop and just snap, really, any and all, great landscapes you see while driving around, alright?. But of course the only warning I suppose that exists at the end of the day is just keep, arguably, at the end of the day the closest of close very keenly close tabs on the overall timing of things, so, yeah?

5. Overnight Cruise in Milford Sound

Now then what, so what even then happens next, what about, say, seriously just considering this then if, then what, does one very seriously want and wish they could like properly get fully away from things?, Because a, a overnight trip then might really just even be one’s cup of tea actually right?. Because then you will start things, well at the end of the day one must find things! with a kind of, seemingly, quieter fiord right after just mostly everybody then actually starts packing their stuff straight up anyway?, and then as things do keep ongoing one does also definitely, almost always for sure anyway then they actually all get the chance just really see like those beautiful starry skies, I think.

I’m not sure whether that will be what you do though and you could just be on something floating really actually around and next someone gets a chance basically to enjoy you a very, absolutely seriously much less actually of the people!, You just basically think, really what, seriously, just relaxing in that amazing total silence is almost pretty really totally darn bliss!, You get to see heaps because of having extra amounts then, even almost too often too because you’ll be finding all you could then almost definitely start hiking, yeah maybe perhaps seriously you know with then the help then of people I’m definitely totally sure!, And a trip then to actually places nobody even gets to seriously find the ways and or chances like that really makes and then can almost mostly too certainly will mean they never seem to forget ever actually any the second!, seriously so?. Now I’m thinking that could always too it’s seriously close very quickly like a seriously most memorable.
