Fancy something just a bit different, alright? You could get a scenic floatplane flight and then land at Taku Glacier Lodge. That means? So, they offer just a great feast with an unreal backdrop. Trust me when I mention, this here is dining with an excellent view, like you never have viewed previously, really!
You are spending about 2-3 hours, you see. So it’s travelling plus the time spent at the lodge, eating, also, exploring just the area near the glacier. As I was saying, just think about it this way; the flight itself, is that not? that is! That there’s just gorgeous! You could grab your camera. Usually, anyway, you are getting some serious photo ops of ice formations, not just that! Also, maybe get an animal here and there.

4. Mendenhall Lake Canoe Adventure
Is that, is that there more active? Really want an adventure? You know, you can kayak along Mendenhall Lake. It may or may not get you like very, really up close to the glacier in such a thrilling, anyway, a hands-on kind of way! I have just had to put it here as there are always lots of adventurous souls around here.
Tours? These tend to average near 3-4 hours long. That does include that prep time, and just getting all the safety briefing information and your paddling trip on Mendenhall Lake! Typically, no way, do you need experience ’cause the guides usually, always are willing to help people to make the best of what they are doing and, too it’s almost, ensure everything is pretty good and safe! You might be paddling on past little icebergs and seeing that glacier up front! You’ll also get great views, so that means great pictures!
What makes this special: Pretty much, experiencing such a glacier from a kayak? A memorable, awesome way to experience one thing, also it’s active, really!

5. Orca Point Lodge & Wildlife Cruise
Need an all-in-one adventure where, maybe you have a relaxed but gorgeous exploration mixed in with an opportunity, potentially to view just great wildlife? Orca Point Lodge offers just about all that! With their cruise it goes hand-in-hand together. You get wildlife plus some seafood, what might you want, really?!
Expect about five to six hours, more or less, for that tour! The cruises always sail the waters known where that wildlife tends to be common! As I was mentioning, in a manner of fact, it usually winds up with a salmon bake up there at Orca Point Lodge. Oh my word is the grub quite good. Do not even miss this meal, it’s true!
