Snorkeling at Molokini Crater
Have you ever gone snorkeling in a place that’s as majestic, that feels nearly holy, actually as Molokini Crater? Oh, and what, just what is Molokini Crater?, is maybe a question you have, too, I think? Fair! Molokini, it’s more or less a partially submerged volcanic crater, so that means its crescent shape gives protection from those big ocean waves, plus it gives incredible visibility. It is just an unbelievably awesome spot, actually, where you can come face-to-face with so many different kinds of sea life! Imagine this; colorful coral, hundreds of varieties of fish that’s darting here, there, that way! You can even see those Hawaiian green sea turtles, you know. I should also mention, getting to Molokini does mean a boat tour, though those do often include lunch, gear for snorkeling, too it’s almost always included!, and also some instruction from expert staff. Very important, I’d say! That’s why you will find them a fun, very straightforward, almost easy way for both first timers as well as for old-timers to have just an experience they will love a whole lot.
Relaxing at Kamaole Beach Parks
When the goal’s relaxation, I think that Kamaole Beach Parks is just a really terrific group of beaches, there’s three of them! Known as Kamaole I, Kamaole II, also Kamaole III, they each boast of just beautiful, so clean, sandy shores together with gentle waters, that, too, so very perfect for swimming, or simply loafing around, like a cat! Kamaole I is typically a great place for families, having that nice, grassy area, plus some volleyball courts! And if you’re there at Kamaole II, it’s much like the first, except maybe it is just a bit less crowded?, which I could understand somebody thinking that was important! However, if you were to check out Kamaole III, it does boast this terrific playground plus a grassy slope which is simply perfect for picnics and also flying kites, by the way. So yes, Kamaole Beach Parks has whatever anybody, even you, really, could need for having themselves a day at that perfect beach. Do be sure to catch the sun dropping below the ocean! It’s just the ultimate way for closing down another beautiful day when you are there in Kihei, of course.
Kayaking or Paddleboarding to See the Sunset
Do you enjoy water? Do you think that, that setting sun looks nice? What about having some sort of fun doing things where you get to use your arms in a somewhat strenuous, very rewarding way, that too?, is perhaps another question you are wanting to ask! Now, get yourself onto a kayak or onto one of those stand-up paddleboards for seeing a sunset out there on the ocean; doing so you get this truly incredible sight of those sun’s rays as they’re coloring the sky. Whale Watching (Seasonal)
Okay, you, just think, are in Kihei during wintertime, somewhere around December, something like that to May-ish, give or take. Did you even know you were now in the midst of something special? Right then, you’ve arrived during the whale migration. Seeing those mighty humpback whales—now, there’s just really nothing quite like it!, frankly —when they leave those very chilly Alaskan waters to come visit the warmer waters right near Hawaii’s islands, and really quite nearby Kihei itself, basically? Lots and lots of boat tours leave straight out of Kihei Boat Ramp; these tours they do allow getting yourself an amazing view to where you get to witness this just beautiful event right up very close! If you can picture it, there’s these whales jumping out from the ocean (breaching, that’s what that’s called) as you hear these fascinating songs being sung down there beneath that ocean. It just can fill anyone with a really great sense of wonder. So please do bring the camera you are trusting the most, maybe your binoculars, just to witness these oh so gigantic, amazing sea creatures right there in that home of theirs which is natural to them. Oh, what else, they, just as a point of trivia!, come down here to breed. Something to look into while you are watching these behemoths, so serene in all their glory, swimming all around, seemingly so peaceful and free!.
Exploring the Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge
You could spend a bunch of your vacation right there enjoying Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, a fantastic natural area that just protects Hawaii’s wetlands, while it supports migratory waterbirds plus some endangered Hawaiian stilt birds. Yes, there’s that bird, you can see it there on the internet with like one quick look! These easy trails which circle this refuge; that will see you get a little, shall we say up-close, kind of intimate maybe?, look into so many different types of local animals as well as various plants. You could bring, perhaps, those binoculars, I’d say!, plus your camera so you can snap shots, not to mention have yourself, those perfect views!, especially so when those sunrises and those sunsets happen! Plus, what’s so good also about places such as this is there’s interpretive signage; what interpretive signage offers is info and, you know, a tiny sprinkling of awareness as regards the local animals along with what’s getting done so they will continue hanging around the region. With some really pretty views to die for, plus plentiful chances that will see you connecting with nature, so too it’s also there protecting endangered birds!, oh, the Kealia Pond might actually, it’s so serene, really become this unexpectedly peaceful place you never thought you might actually love just as much. Take some pictures while you are walking! Remember all this and remember all you saw!
