Alright, want something different? Let’s talk about leaving the city for a bit! A desert safari, that’s often an adventure and a half! Many times you’ll get to ride a 4×4 over the dunes, that’s like sand hills, really! Sandboarding, well that’s pretty rad and fun, right, too? Some cruises will take you around the coast, that’s like the edge of the land near the ocean, right? And they, well, they often offer fantastic views of the skyline. Some, as a matter of fact, go to places such as Failaka Island. That island, so they say, has old Greek ruins, which, in a way, kind of connects the place to other ancient stories, which is actually kind of cool, in a way, don’t you think?

Oh, and what’s a visit without hitting the shops, is that it? Souks, or markets, they can definitely give you a taste of local life. The Souk Al-Mubarakiya is super popular, now, if you ask me. You are apt to discover all things, from spices and perfumes to clothing and souvenirs. Haggle, which, in a way, is talking the seller into dropping the price just a little, that too it’s, like, part of the experience, actually!

Expect to find:

Lots of choices for unique gifts.
Get a taste of old, diverse Kuwait by walking through busy alleys and feeling the vibe around you, or so I’ve heard.
Be social and engage with local sellers, as a matter of fact, it’s very enjoyable and I definitely encourage that!
