Top 5 Mindelo Outdoor Activities: Your Adventure Guide
So, you’re thinking about going to Mindelo in Cape Verde and, basically, maybe scratching your head a little wondering what to do? It’s almost like, I hear you. This place is more than just a pretty harbor, that it’s almost bursting with cool things you can do outside. Basically, let’s get into it, shall we?
1. Hike Up Monte Cara: A View to Remember
Alright, first up? That’s climbing Monte Cara. It’s that mountain that looks like a face when you view it from town – kinda cool, you know? This mountain, apparently, got its name ’cause it looks like somebody lying down, looking up at the sky, you see. Now, I think you need to hear me out. The trek up? It’s, arguably, a bit of work, that, it’s a decent climb, you see. That said, the view from up there? It’s almost like, totally worth every step. The entire bay, too, almost sparkles beneath you and the town shrinks. Take that with you; I am telling you.
The path up is, arguably, clear enough, too it’s almost like there might be a couple spots where you’ll scratch your head a bit, but you won’t get lost; you shouldn’t get lost. So, wear some sturdy boots and definitely bring water – you’ll be happy you did. Also, maybe give yourself around four hours for the round trip so it doesn’t cut into time for other adventures. It is like your photo album will be saying ‘Thank You!’ later. Really, what else could you need?

2. Sail Away: Island Hopping Adventure
Now, Cape Verde is islands, right? You almost can’t visit without hitting the water, and what might happen there, too, is taking a sailboat tour. Plenty of outfits right there at the marina have these. That said, I think you need to hear me out. You’re like, hopping on a catamaran to, maybe, some of the nearby, that gorgeous, spots? It’s almost like, so great, you see. Or, of course, going a bit farther afield. You, like your tour guide knows all the choice, amazing, places that tourists wouldn’t have a clue about otherwise. I mean you could visit secluded beaches on the islands too, that just makes it spectacular. Snorkeling too might be thrown in. Basically, the clear water will blow your hair back. The marine life alone may surprise you. Also, I’m serious. It’s just the sound of the waves and wind filling up the sails too. You might just decide to remain there.
Typically, lunch is even included, fresh seafood probably grilled on the deck as, arguably, well? You’ll be talking about that for, probably, months. And it really isn’t all sunshine, okay? Remember your sunscreen too and maybe a hat. So, there might be times of year where things get choppy so, possibly, think about that when booking if you actually, honestly, get seasick. All this from a boat tour; sounds cool, doesn’t it?

3. Surf’s Up: Catching Waves at São Pedro
Okay, so, a surfer you consider yourself to be? Okay, even just, maybe, a surfer-curious? Maybe even sort of? That the spot you have been thinking of, typically, São Pedro, is maybe on the south end of the island. I have no reason for you to, possibly, go any place different. So, anyway, surfers fly in from everywhere to grab these waves. So, honestly, that’s saying something. It’s the trade winds. Or, possibly, what really draws a crowd of surfers and kitesurfers. They really might draw in the surfers here for these swells. Arguably, I’ve read about how the swells sometimes reach pretty high so what you’re expecting is some challenge; intermediate level I suppose.
You should consider, of course, you see, you will be planning your outing around those times in the year the breaks come. Okay, anyway, you aren’t packing the surfboards in the suitcase. Okay, don’t worry. There are, for instance, like, rental places there with pretty solid equipment, okay. Anyway, local surf instructors hanging around also give tips. I’m trying to give you the facts. As I was saying, beginner, experienced, anything, I believe they might have something for everyone. At the end of the day I like you think of me the next time you visit this spot; it means I helped get your surfing on, you understand. Do you not believe me? Let the pictures convince you!

4. Relax on the Beaches: From Sandy Toes to Sunset Views
The thought, so, too, that you consider beach hopping while you are over there is that the area here is pretty legendary? Also, for a tan, a swim, I almost suggest it might even blow your mind, almost, alright? To begin, in a way, consider a trip you must make to Laginha Beach and maybe kick back. Okay, I may ramble here and, basically, say there’s like soft sands and clear water. The view of the ocean from here is fantastic to begin with and there you find the local people as well that, too, relax the very way you also get ready to relax, alright? At the end of the day it must mean that Laginha must bring it, like all of those other top beaches from everywhere else that you and everyone wants to experience at least one in their lifetime.
Baia das Gatas offers an altogether, arguably, different vibe that the water here is very sheltered and shallow. So that means there’s not as much wind at Baia das Gatas; as it were, some tourists don’t go anywhere else so take that fact with you so you at least have it. It seems that its appeal must show up with windsurfing fans who consider this spot safe. The views when you look outward are amazing so they provide more awesome fodder as backdrops, of course, when you want to share your selfie on the Internet as always.

5. Explore the Marine Life: Diving and Snorkeling
Possibly, anyway, under the water, the views underwater could be just like awesome, the very best things about islands, right? Cape Verde, to begin with, has to be about what there’s under those, I will even guess beautiful blue, surface conditions out in the ocean so consider diving here, and a lot, actually, almost alright? So, if you do go, or you get into the snorkeling, as well, then again it really brings on an entire show on top of it! What, as it were, what kinds of things? Now, really I do mention some places with tropical fishes right over there and sea turtles even may fly over right past the spot to, alright, at the end of the day, just kinda maybe see you. Almost there’s reefs out here where people can see a reef fish they never even have viewed, so, in that case, that shows what this place might throw in. You will, very honestly, probably not at any spot see that anywhere in the world as you almost do here.
If, so, anyway, you have not any snorkeling before, actually honestly consider going on some lessons that teach these subjects alright so I’m being fair to people of any background. At least be safe or don’t visit that specific place! If that must mean you only do that while accompanied by an experienced local then actually listen carefully, and honestly, think deeply! Well you will think about that then think about these dives; you must actually take everything in if that ever means everything too, so honestly stay tuned right here!
