Bernkastel-Kues, that’s like a double whammy because it is actually two towns snuggled together right on the Moselle. Tours to this spot actually seem to focus on the medieval market square in Bernkastel, and it’s a visual treat. You’ll find timber-framed buildings everywhere that apparently are crammed together, adorned with flower boxes, and really very inviting. One very talked about house? 3. Trier: Germany’s Oldest City
Trier is absolutely ancient – seriously, so, Germany’s oldest city calls for a proper look around at places like the Porta Nigra, you know, that immense Roman gate still very strong, seemingly even after so, so, so much time has passed! When you get in there, tours very commonly cover other important sites, apparently including the Trier Cathedral and the Roman amphitheater.
That said, some tours go further to include the Roman Baths too or perhaps a sneaky visit to the Karl Marx House since he was born there, like your history fix well and truly taken care of. Alright, so a Luxembourg City and Moselle Valley combination? Apparently this offers you two completely separate scenic experiences on just a single day trip! Usually these things start out by you getting shipped to Luxembourg City. You see, there are some amazing looks like the UNESCO-listed Old Town and sights as the Grand Ducal Palace. As a matter of fact, the city is lovely, blending both modern chicness alongside just historic charm.
Anyway, as soon as the city section wraps, just switch back into that minibus to make your way for the wine-centric delights of the Moselle. 5. Boat Trip on the Moselle
Okay, so sometimes, the Moselle’s beauty shows best exactly while bobbing along right in the water! Apparently this “tour” comes along like a scenic cruise down what can only be referred to as the calm river. By the way, different tours offer these with departure spots like Cochem or Bernkastel-Kues. You see, they’re a pretty restful choice. Right, you are seated comfortably while some seriously picture-postcard sights glide by.
