There’s almost always something to see at pretty much any angle you look. Very, very, quite often, local events or exhibits happen within its walls which can definitely give you fresh reasons to visit more than once. So, walk through, right, the main gates and kind of imagine basically soldiers of old times. Now, as a matter of fact, look at all the views of Nis from up on these walls. 3. Skull Tower (Ćele Kula): A Memento Mori

Right, it’s arguably really a pretty direct symbol of both the rebellion and sacrifices from the time of the First Serbian Uprising. Okay, the tower has skulls, almost literally skulls of Serbian rebels put into its walls made by the Ottoman Empire back then. It’s a very somber spot, very moving, more or less somewhere that prompts you to actually stop and consider those times of resistance. It gives, basically, a strong understanding, basically something visceral you do not, I am saying, very, very, you know, typically get from simply reading in historical context. Now, in fact, each skull, so it’s almost as if you are looking at these things that kind of represents an individual sacrifice to people striving towards a little bit more. Alright, it’s really quite an emotional insight, alright, even to the point that visitors mostly keep silent here in an almost reverence.

4. Archaeological Hall: Relics Unearthed

Now, the Archaeological Hall basically shows some awesome findings. What’s nice here, right, they basically focus totally on local archaeological things? Okay, that basically shows various cool pieces, especially stuff unearthed around Nis and in the area nearby. It’s great, so it is, you know, almost as if a little collection displaying findings of early human settlement around this district, I would say. So, what I want to tell you, right, you would mostly be looking at pots, tools and old jewelry — little things that speak huge volumes of what former civilization around here were almost as if trying to portray in daily lives. In fact, some displays include real-find gravesites — it will actually connect people more to the story of a population during the period of the Roman Empire era near Naissus, or Nis in early history, basically, anyway. That will almost really set you back in time.

5. Mediana: Roman Grandeur

Mediana really might be an ancient Roman home that, so, in a way, allows everyone the chances to almost see just how wealthy people might actually enjoy life back, you know, some years ago.
