2. Explore Guam’s History at the Pacific War Museum
Guam played rather a vital role during World War II, and visiting the Pacific War Museum might be a respectful way to learn concerning the island’s history. It may only take a few hours, yet it’s packed with artifacts, exhibits, and individual stories which totally bring the past to life. Very impacting, is what it is.
The museum does a fantastic job of telling the story from multiple perspectives. You’ll see displays concerning the Chamorro people, the American soldiers, plus the Japanese forces. Honestly, it’s a somber experience. You walk away with a deep appreciation of what happened on Guam during the war. I feel the museum is, honestly, so informative. That makes it well worth a visit.

4. Discover the Beauty of Two Lovers Point
Two Lovers Point (Puntan Dos Amantes) may be a scenic spot with a super interesting legend attached. So, local legend has it that long, long ago two lovers, forbidden to be together, jumped off the cliff into the ocean. Kinda Romeo and Juliet-ish, but in Guam. That might sound pretty dramatic, right?
Very touristy, the views from the top are just stunning. That is to say, you’re getting panoramic vistas of Tumon Bay as well as the Philippine Sea. I find that it tends to be quite crowded, yet you definitely need to visit this at least once for some truly great pictures and that romantic vibe. Some parts there are just unbelievably great!

5. Experience Chamorro Culture at Chamorro Village
Okay, so you need to keep in mind that Chamorro Village might be at its liveliest on Wednesday nights (Chamorro Village Night Market), but that might not be a half-day tour, as such. Even during the daytime, this gives you a nice sampling of Chamorro culture. They offer handmade crafts, local food, and just a generally authentic island vibe. The permanent stores have different times.
Basically, wander through the stalls, sample some local delicacies such as red rice and chicken kelaguen, as well as pick up gifts which might be locally made. I think, for a few hours, it’s an awesome way to support local artisans and learn a bit more concerning Guam’s heritage. Even on slower days, the marketplace might have, too, demonstrations or workshops which are really worth checking out. It will almost always depend when you visit, so it might not be available when you do.
