One very cool thing about Mudjin Harbour is Dragon Cay. Like, you can walk to it during low tide and get a killer view of the whole harbor. There is also Conch Bar Caves National Park, that actually showcases the biggest non-submerged cave system in the Caribbean. Which is, you know, pretty neat. Explore them if you dig history or caves, it does come alive.
Make time to wander around Bambarra Beach. It is that beautiful spot where the water is so shallow, like you can walk forever and then you can see where the historic Wade’s Green Plantation is. 2. North Caicos: The “Green Island” Beckons
North Caicos, just a hop and a skip from Middle Caicos via a causeway, that is so green, they actually call it the “Green Island”. This contrast with Provo is very extreme, in some ways. You are trading high-rise resorts for big swaths of green that’s unspoiled. So, nature enthusiasts will just find their, happy place. Start out by bird-watching in the Flamingo Pond Overlook, often, you’ll spot those colorful flamingos just doing their flamingo thing in the wild. Really great to see.
Make sure to check out Cottage Pond and Wade’s Green Plantation as well. And see more of the island’s natural, plus also historical, side. And then for beachgoers, there is, Whitby Beach, just chilling out and swimming in water so clear it’s unreal.
What really separates North Caicos, anyway, is the vibe of a quiet garden island that really just, makes nature the star. A tour here might just suit travelers wanting quiet versus partying.

3. Explore Iguana Island (Little Water Cay)
Iguana Island, or Little Water Cay, is, very famous among Turks & Caicos tourists because it’s loaded with these rock Iguanas. Very cool reptiles. What’s so neat is that these lizards are used to visitors. That gives you plenty of shots to snap selfies. Just don’t think about grabbing one, because they are safe but very grabby.
Several boat trips get you here from Provo, so, sometimes they are paired with snorkeling at nearby reefs. You will walk trails winding through this island preserve; then, so you might spy on iguanas that are everywhere! The island, that has nice sandy beaches; then swimming around that really wraps up your time nicely. Especially if you love wildlife this quick hop should be something very fun!

4. Snorkeling at the Bight Reef and Coral Gardens
Right off Provo are The Bight Reef and the Coral Gardens and each provides these very superb snorkel locations. These reefs just by the shore that are very inviting for a shorter adventure that requires, literally, minimal travel. The Bight Reef, sometimes, like, “Smith’s Reef,” gives those snorkeling rookies shallow, calm water to just see these very vivid coral plus just an abundance of sea life! Bring those youngsters because you don’t have to travel way out deep.
A few beaches down there’s Coral Gardens that really is known for its ease and those, buoys marking some cool spots. Loads of underwater critters are found here too. That makes Coral Gardens, or Bight Reef, like you are choosing your own aqua escapade close to land! You’ve literally only got to walk over and enjoy hours soaking stuff in.

5. Day Trip to Grand Turk: History and Whale Watching
Grand Turk does take commitment because that island requires some time hopping on a short plane journey. Even so the historical plus also whale view experiences here make it something special. What sets apart Grand Turk, arguably, is, that the Columbus Landfall National Park shows where Columbus made his start in the Americas.
See the Grand Turk Lighthouse; it is, that historic thing still telling stories to visitors. Starting in January watch migrating whales or grab those binoculars for a breathtaking show of titans during their swims.
Very few other places really meld early history with also nature better that Grand Turk makes it that very memorable day outside of mainland Provo.
