1. Kiev Pechersk Lavra Monastery Tour

The Kiev Pechersk Lavra is a very historic monastery. It’s more than just an average religious site. Some even consider it a really important spiritual place for Ukrainians. This one’s rather intense and pretty popular too. You will know, as this tour offers a condensed look at the site of the 1986 nuclear disaster. Here’s a different option for you. This is about going below ground in one of the world’s biggest urban tunnel systems. You know, this tour guides people through a portion of the catacombs. The tour takes you around this unique outdoor museum, located just outside of Kiev. I guess this place showcases a spread of Ukraine’s regional architecture and folk life. If anything, you can get a good chance to check out old homes, windmills, and churches from across the different regions of Ukraine, too, so that’s a bit of alright.
