It is most famous for its connection to Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” and you’re definitely going to feel the gothic vibes as you wander around the town. Climbing the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey is like a bit of a challenge, but trust me, you know, the view from up there is completely worth it. The Abbey ruins themselves, in some respects, are incredibly impressive and definitely stir up a bit of mystery.

For lovers of nature, anyway, a trip to the North York Moors is totally essential, a place, which for sure, offers incredible hiking trails and sweeping views that stretch for miles. It’s actually easy to lose yourself in the quiet beauty of this national park; so many great spots are found here. There’s actually quite a variety of routes to pick from, that, is great if you prefer just gentle strolls or very challenging hikes.

Visit pretty villages such as Hutton-le-Hole and Goathland; it almost seems time stands still in these picturesque locales. Harrogate is really famous for its spa history and beautifully maintained gardens, a place, basically, perfect for anyone who wants to have a bit of relaxation and treat themselves for a change. You can pop over to the Royal Pump Room Museum, for instance, to learn all about the town’s spa history. After all, the town was famous with folks seeking out wellness centuries ago.

The Valley Gardens is great, for sure; this place is awesome to stretch out a bit on the lush green grass, or you can just sit and admire the flowers that actually look and smell good. 5. Knaresborough: Riverside Beauty and History

Knaresborough, actually, is a super pretty market town, sat next to the River Nidd. One key activity is renting a rowing boat and taking it for a pleasant spin up and down the river, in some respects, something I recommend for a sunny day. Seeing the town from the river, you will see, it just looks even more beautiful, very picturesque! Knaresborough Castle, to illustrate, offers awesome views of the town and river.

Mother Shipton’s Cave, if I can just mention, is, like, England’s oldest tourist attraction and actually something a bit unique. Legend says that Mother Shipton was, kind of, a prophetess back in the 15th century. You can stroll through the petrifying well, just a little bizarre, in a way, it makes items turn to stone as they get covered in mineral water.
