Chattanooga, a pretty cool spot down in Tennessee, is not just filled with scenic views, yet the food scene is kind of popping off too, as a matter of fact. From super tasty Southern cooking to spots with worldwide menus, you can find something that suits what you want. Here’s a look at spots where you can grub, at least my top 5 for a really fantastic eating time.
1. 1885 Grill: Upscale Eats With a Down-Home Vibe
1885 Grill is pretty special for a number of reasons. With various spots all over Chattanooga, this eatery has this casual vibe but, very, very delicious fare, alright. They have like really, fresh fish, a full bar with happy hour, really well done Southern dishes, and a raw oyster bar. Actually, the environment is so relaxing you might find yourself coming often.
I can’t forget talking about the oysters, that’s a menu must, actually. They arrive at your table ice-cold plus super fresh with lemon and the perfect sauce to go along with it. So too it’s almost important you order it for the whole group.

2. Alleia: Italian Food That Feels Like a Hug
Alleia provides an interesting change if you’re after food that, actually, is like a comfy hug. This pretty special Italian restaurant makes food the older Italian way: by hand, very often with stuff fresh from farms around here, in that case. I’ve almost got to tell you about how, is that, their handmade pastas almost melt in your mouth, and their wood-fired pizzas provide like a smoky kick, right.
For example, start by sharing the charcuterie board with your party and continue on with house-made pasta, the tagliatelle is often what I choose. Then after that enjoy your fill with wood oven pizza.
