Top Eastern Cape Tours: See the Best of South Africa

Eastern Cape South Africa Landscape

The Eastern Cape of South Africa, is that place with its beautiful coastlines and wide open wildlife reserves. I find that there’s this raw, unspoiled charm about it. When people consider a South African visit, it’s often places like Cape Town or Kruger Park that come up. Those are incredible, without a doubt, yet the Eastern Cape seems like a hidden gem. This part of the country seems to show off this terrific mix of things to do for a fantastic vacation that everyone likes. This review lists the finest “Eastern Cape Tours, Sightseeing & Cruises”, and that helps to show why the region is very memorable to see.

Addo Elephant National Park Safari

Addo Elephant National Park Safari

If I were asked for my first recommendation, that would be Addo Elephant National Park Safari. Imagine a place packed with elephants. Well, Addo has over 600 of them! Yet, the elephants aren’t by themselves, because the place has lions, rhinos, buffalo, and leopards—the famous “Big Five”—along with quite a few zebras, antelopes, and other species.

The cool thing with Addo, really, is how accessible it is. You could do the self-drive thing if that’s your speed, going along at your pace. Or, you might like getting taken around by somebody who knows lots, you know, one of the guides who knows all the animal spots and some interesting facts too. It has some good stuff when you would like to make an outing of several days and you do not want to keep driving to the hotel.

Apparently, it’s more than just the animals that make this worthwhile, and that it has this lovely vibe. Driving through it, or riding up in the open-top truck gives you a real sense for how large and alive the place is. You breathe in that fresh bush air and listen to all the bird noises; it just gives you this connection to nature, something you really won’t feel easily anywhere else.

Wild Coast Hiking Tour

Wild Coast Hiking Tour

If you have always wanted a hike next to a coast, there might not be a place better than the Wild Coast for that. You find yourself wandering along remote paths alongside steep cliffs, past unspoiled beaches, through small Xhosa communities, which are all things you could anticipate as experiences for yourself.

That what makes it awesome are the small villages and getting the chance to be part of the everyday experiences. I mean, just walking through the village when everyone says hello is so welcoming. I learned so much about the customs and traditions of the area, too it’s something you would never find staying at some fancy resort.

That there’s the natural beauty, and yet, what it might actually be about is the mix between nature and culture. You are not just hiking. That, at the end of the day, you have so many opportunities to learn from different backgrounds while experiencing awesome coastlines. The Wild Coast hike probably sounds very cool in that context!

Tsitsikamma National Park Adventures

Tsitsikamma National Park Adventures

If a person were planning for an adventurous tour, Tsitsikamma National Park would be that location to visit, you see. This spot, so it’s almost perfect for lovers of both the coastline and woods, is just about halfway between Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and Cape Town.

And there really is lots to do in this place, apparently. If you like something with a little punch, and yet not a super high fitness level, the Storms River mouth hike to the suspension bridges ought to be at the top of your activities list. Imagine seeing the furious waves crashing at the place the river meets the sea. You would likely take great images.

And, that really sounds cool that the Tsitsikamma National Park features things like kayaking and canopy tours, and that it would provide many things that make your vacation exciting! Really, this region makes an Eastern Cape travel memory that everyone likes to keep close to themselves.

Port Elizabeth Historical Tour

Port Elizabeth Historical Tour

Port Elizabeth, recently renamed Gqeberha, shows off all these great things. I like that that city offers all this stuff on its history! Visiting all these landmarks and structures in town shows that you appreciate history.

There’s so much there, like that Donkin Reserve, which had such a fantastic outlook of Algoa Bay and features a stone pyramid developed by Sir Rufane Donkin to show affection to his deceased wife, and that those types of things were just very moving in my opinion. Yet you could also drop by City Hall and that’s something that would be cool too. Port Elizabeth had all that colonial-era architectural beauty. I think that seeing the Old Post Office too gives you that impression.

Port Elizabeth could potentially be fun for any person to do. I like it in particular simply because that city’s tours present an individual great looks at South Africa. They’ve got modern times as well as moments from past, too, but those occasions make up all of those tour memories that stay long later.
