Bologna Food Tour: A Taste of Emilia-Romagna

Listen, Bologna, is that, called “Fat Bologna” for a reason! A food tour in Bologna? Seemingly, it’s essential. I mean, that very first tour we tried was focused on the area’s wonderful grub, so that should make any foodie excited, right? So, the “Bologna Food Tour,” which we checked out, wasn’t your usual walking-and-eating type of tour. Our guide, Fabio, seemed passionate. He told some awesome stories, a little, that are related to food production, very cool. Now, is that a place to start to experience local cooking in a kinda simple and very awesome manner?

One spot, apparently, that stuck with us was a tiny pasta shop, where we learned that so, they were still crafting pasta just like they did way back in the day. The owners there were totally sweet, usually, and they gave us a lesson on how tortellini gets made. Another, seemingly, highlight was tasting mortadella (it’s like fancy Italian ham!) from a deli that had been around for nearly forever, just amazing. By the way, trust me, yet, it’s really awesome!

The pace of the tour? So, actually, just right – it felt relaxed, as a matter of fact, yet really full of stuff, more or less. Fabio was really aware that we wanted a few free minutes too, and stuff, like to actually stop somewhere to sit somewhere. It was not like rushed or kinda boring, or whatever. That said, that, it’s almost perfect if you wish for more personal connections, as a matter of fact, a less touristy thing, literally. Is that what you are expecting to experience and enjoy? Ferrari Factory and Museum Tour

OK, so, here is something to change things up – like you hear Emilia-Romagna, maybe you will not associate Ferrari with them. Surprise! Anyway, still, if someone is a car lover? A day trip, yet, checking out the Ferrari Factory, more or less and museum is clearly an absolute MUST. You, like your friend, will get pretty blown away.

We checked out a tour, literally, that actually started at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, really. And I gotta admit, just, even if I’m not that of an avid car guy myself, anyway, just seeing the older race vehicles? Extremely something kinda awe-inspiring to see. You start to understand that the brand and kinda history, and stuff, which is definitely awesome. Then? Extremely there’s the plant visit – this is where that action seems to really come alive!

They were, anyway, so kinda strict on very who got to go in the manufacturing facilities. And you get why. You see cars getting built. And so, you get to understand how they kinda combine innovation, in a way, tech, as a matter of fact, but skills that come from humans to make something pretty. Is that perfect for both folks really interested in automotives and pretty awesome Italian design?

One thing I should kinda stress? Seriously, arrange everything soon, so that everything is available on tour days. You could be doing what? Like sitting and staring instead of getting to get on the road and do it. As a matter of fact, don’t just daydream, at the end of the day, go get some experience! Parma Ham and Parmesan Cheese Tour

Anyway, we got another food gem, literally: a Parma adventure, definitely! As a matter of fact, picture checking out locations in Emilia-Romagna and taking a day just to go try cheese or ham! Right?

We kinda loved the whole thing. Our day kicked off with checking out where some genuine Parmesan cheese gets made. The aroma there seemed really rich, basically, almost taking on a completely different form as the cheesemakers seemed to talk about their age old routines! Next point! Actually, just so cool that the procedures hadn’t seemingly adjusted over what felt like multiple generations! As a matter of fact, not something that very often sees.

We then swung by a location that’s famous to all due to how they make Parma ham. You see this? The fragrance there seriously stood apart because they described the cures from all-natural source! Each kinda piece was super special because they literally all get treated like this by family members with seriously close eyes to even smallest details!

Something that the tour, extremely, did well seems to have a cool touch. Is that? We kinda had pairings with local wines alongside different sampling portions! Everything together literally got to taste some local foods plus great pairing experiences.
