Top Kununurra Tickets & Passes: Reviews and Recommendations
So, planning a trip to Kununurra? That is really fantastic news! Getting your tickets and passes sorted ahead of time can totally make or break your adventure, is that right? It can definitely save you some coin and makes sure you do not spend all your time standing in line when you could instead be seeing some really seriously marvelous sights. I am thinking that we’ll take a closer look at five tickets and passes around Kununurra that are really quite wonderful.
1. Ord River Cruise Tickets
I am figuring that the Ord River is really, really Kununurra’s lifeline, you know? And a cruise on this gorgeous waterway should definitely be right up there on anyone’s must-do list. Several outfits run cruises, offering various takes on things, yet basically you are always talking views that’ll knock your socks off, like those high cliffs and the chance to catch some of the local wildlife. You can watch crocodiles sunbathing along the banks, now, can’t you? Those Jabiru birds just chilling out, is that a dream, very? Most tours also drop some local knowledge on you, talking all about the river’s past and the area’s natural environment. They’re normally half-day or even full-day affairs, so expect some lunch thrown in and possibly a cheeky drink or two as the sun goes down. If you’re considering the Ord River cruise, make sure to compare prices, routes, and the grub they’re serving up.

2. Lake Argyle Day Pass
Just a short drive out from Kununurra, yet very far in spirit from urban hustle is Lake Argyle, that is so right. Created when they dammed the Ord River, the Lake Argyle should definitely be on the list of any serious traveler. A day pass scores you admittance to the Lake Argyle Resort, where you may very well just want to hang out at the famous infinity pool looking out right over the never-ending lake. And very likely snapping some brag-worthy photos while you’re doing that. But that is definitely not where things end! The pass probably hooks you up with boat rides right out on the lake where, arguably, you can check out all the bays and inlets, and potentially you’ll sight wildlife too. I guess that it is worth keeping in mind that you might well be required to book for boat tours individually and these come at a supplemental fee. Anyway, to make the most of your pass it’s just sensible to set aside a whole day; that would, for instance, allow enough time to kick back at the pool, go for a lake tour, and, should you be keen, have a crack at several walking trails that lead right off the resort.

3. Bungle Bungle Flights
Want a gander at one of Australia’s natural marvels without walking for miles? That probably sounds pretty smart. A scenic flight right over the Bungle Bungle Range, or Purnululu National Park as it’s officially named, is a terrific means of clocking those stripey, beehive-shaped domes that the range has, isn’t that so very nice? The distances that you would have to cover on the road are crazy big to get to the park and some of the park tracks require a four-wheel drive, yet up there in the air it’s so effortless. Flights commonly go from Kununurra and typically, for example, run from one to two hours. Several operators, naturally, offer tours; yet arguably the value that you are receiving all hangs on just how long you’re airborne and the kind of aircraft you’ll be floating around in. Is that it’s worth investigating sunset flights, you reckon? Well, they deliver this striking golden glow on the formations and I very much enjoy those views. Verify always what is, like, covered by the tour to ensure that you are really seeing what you fancy.

4. Hoochery Distillery Tour
Is that someone shouted, “whiskey?” Near Kununurra, the Hoochery Distillery cranks out a couple of seriously decent rum and whiskey, anyway. A tour takes you right into the art of crafting spirits right there in the remote outback. And, of course, a tasting is just thrown in there for good measure. What is really quite something is seeing what happens, what the actual process involves, from milling and mashing down to distilling and bottling; that’s seriously nice. The guides have got, like, this habit of telling the Hoochery history as well as a handful of quite funny stories, yet in general the rum is what most folk remember. If you’re just motoring about then I would suggest going in the morning or later on in the afternoon because the middle of the day may very well be when it gets just really ridiculously torrid there.

5. El Questro Wilderness Park Pass
I want to mention the El Questro Wilderness Park which constitutes a seriously impressive chunk of the East Kimberley and it just calls for a special kind of pass, actually. That buys you entry and should let you properly discover what El Questro’s got, just imagine that. This might mean swimming in thermal springs, taking a hike right up to El Questro Gorge, or even just setting out and exploring various spots that hold significance culturally or spots of pretty splendor, too. You will very often require a four-wheel drive to do so, that is something that has to be mentioned. The price range may depend on, basically, how long the pass stays valid and the time of the year it is; passes covering multiple days provide that bit more leisure to see a decent share of the park without actually needing to hurry on through everything. It is that important to consider how the park’s tracks sit alongside just how fit and sure-footed you happen to be to select the tickets and the hikes, basically. Anyway it should make a pretty spectacular trip when it all clicks into place.
