5. Northern Lights Chase

I think very many who visit Northern Sweden do so in, like, winter, mostly to chase the famous Northern Lights, also known, very, very simply as the Aurora Borealis. Well these Northern Lights chases normally start off in the late afternoon. Naturally, those are half-day experiences which, for example, involve you heading out into remote, untouched locations to, I don’t know, get those crystal-clear sights of the lights.

Northern Lights Chase

Right, I was lucky to enjoy the lights during a chase close to Abisko some years ago, right? But, seriously I was stunned. That is, picture dancing hues of green, pink, and purple moving across the night sky, that, frankly is out of this place. But that is another matter; the tour was brilliant in, well it got me far from the city lights, also offered warm drinks and, like, lots of stories about how they are made, very very nice. By the way, even when the lights might be shy, then the sky’s gorgeousness with millions of twinkling stars renders that an unforgettable scene anyway.
