1. Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour

Pearl Harbor

Want to experience history firsthand and check out Honolulu’s highlights? So, you might want to try this Pearl Harbor and city tour. It starts at Pearl Harbor, where, basically, you get to feel the weight of that historical moment. I mean, it can be intense. That is followed by a drive around Honolulu, checking out places like Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha statue. It’s a blend of respect for the past and a look at the current vibe. What’s very cool is they include round-trip transportation, very important if you don’t really want to worry about driving. To be honest, parking is crazy!

Why I think you might enjoy it: First, history comes alive at Pearl Harbor. Second, you get a good overview of Honolulu without wearing yourself out. Third, you will have transport sorted, that really does make things simple.

Keep in mind this trip can be emotional, so prepare yourself for that, and be sure you get some comfortable shoes. Also, lots of sunscreen is needed – that Hawaiian sun is very strong!

2. Polynesian Cultural Center Tickets

Polynesian Cultural Center

Planning a trip to Oahu? Visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center is very, very awesome, in fact it’s a super awesome option for getting immersed in Polynesian traditions. You know, they recreate island villages. Basically, there are shows and food. Also, you’re really experiencing the cultures from Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, and more, so it might be right up your street. They do have lots of packages; basically, you can get tickets with or without a luau. I would recommend you go to the luau; the food is, arguably, delicious! The evening show, “Hā: Breath of Life,” basically does round the whole thing off. Transportation’s sorted if you, like, book it in advance, which I feel is worth doing. What I liked best? Well, the genuine enthusiasm of all the performers really.

Why it could be great: First, it gives you lots of different cultures in one spot. Second, the evening show’s pretty impressive. Finally, the luau food – that could be your new fave!

Be prepared, this place can get crowded, try going on a weekday. You will want to leave a good amount of time, because, as I said before, the center is HUGE! Lastly, it may be tempting to get a cheap souvenir, I would resist, they are, like, way overpriced!

3. Catamaran Cruise from Waikiki

Catamaran Cruise from Waikiki

If you’re after scenic views and feeling the sea breeze, this catamaran cruise from Waikiki might be a highlight. Very often, it includes snorkeling, drinks, and, like, a chance of spotting turtles and dolphins, so there are opportunities to make memories, that’s very cool. So, imagine sailing along the coastline. After that, diving into the water, exploring the reefs. Actually, they do sunset cruises too! You will want to consider them for stunning views of the Waikiki skyline. The crews tend to be really friendly. Frankly, I just can’t find fault with the whole vibe; basically, it’s pretty chilled.

Things to consider: One thing that sets it apart is the unbeatable Waikiki views, another is the fact that they include snorkeling equipment. Another highlight might be sipping Mai Tais on deck!

You might want to get there early to grab a good spot on the boat. And just, like, double-check what’s included in your ticket; some upgrades do include extra perks. Do be ready for the sun and maybe a bit of sea spray; sunnies are advised.

It usually includes a welcome drink, imu ceremony, and, like, traditional Hawaiian food, all while experiencing great entertainment. The communal dining means there’s an inclusive, joyful atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoy. Just be ready to get involved; Germaine encourages it!
