Anyway, going halfway through the canal, well, it’s quite the spectacle, isn’t it? You can watch how the ships get lifted up in these massive locks. Then you can learn about how this waterway actually changed global shipping, too. You may want to keep your eyes peeled for some wild critters close to the banks, too. Exploring Casco Viejo: A Walk Through History
After the canal, so, you can go back into time, I guess? And what you will find, is Casco Viejo! This UNESCO World Heritage site is that, the old town of Panama City. Any way, it shows off rather pretty colonial buildings. And then it shows some narrow streets that might bring out the adventurer in you! So, the tours often, sometimes, cover the Presidential Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, plus spots that tell many stories, in a way.
