1. Damajagua Waterfalls: 27 Adventures in One

Damajagua Waterfalls Puerto Plata

You know, if you are a bit adventurous, you will totally want to check out the 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua. Actually, it’s almost like a natural water park where you can climb, slide, and leap into really cool, refreshing pools. Seriously! It’s that experience that I can recall when thinking of “refreshing,” and you’ll very likely agree. And I will go there once again someday to fully be reminded. You know, they will give you all the safety stuff you’ll need – helmets and life vests – so it’s generally safe for people of pretty much any age and fitness level. Plus, that tour guides are always there to assist you on the route.

I actually went there last year. I do need to tell you to brace yourselves, you have to hike up a bit to get to the top, yet it’s actually worth every single step. It gets pretty fun going down through the falls, whether it is that you’re jumping or sliding. By the way, if you’re somewhat apprehensive about jumping, don’t fret! It is actually easy to walk around some of the larger drops. In some respects, after playing around for a few hours, there is always some delicious Dominican food waiting to you near the parking area, what a very nice bonus.

Sosúa Beach Dominican Republic

In a way, looking for a relaxed beach vibe, Sosúa Beach is a great call. Sosúa is just a short drive from Puerto Plata, is that it’s really well known for its sheltered bay with just golden sands and crystal-clear water. It tends to be absolutely perfect for snorkeling! You know what, it’s the coral reefs there teem with pretty, colorful fish, so remember to bring your gear or just rent some. Sosúa has the ultimate Caribbean vacation package.

In some respects, the beach itself has some good spots to lay out and work on that tan. If you are wanting to experience a piece of Dominican food, there is just a whole bunch of food shacks along the beach to keep you very, very well fed. They do the most delicious seafood dishes; give the grilled fish a shot! It could be you might like to purchase little souvenirs, it seems. Sosúa has some nice little stands carrying Dominican handicrafts and paintings, very worth browsing.

There a great amount of places down the beach offering lessons for that. Yet, if you only feel like relaxing, just enjoy the exciting action happening at the sea from some of the cool beachside bars.

That nightlife is another thing here that’s very attractive! It’s actually super active in Cabarete; there a great amount of clubs and bars where you could very well enjoy some drinks while the tunes play! Could be you should check out a very cool spot on the beach, which I like to chill at with a nice drink in my hand, to sit there for an hour and enjoy it slowly before leaving.
