Why it’s great: Seeing Þingvellir really is great. At Þingvellir, you can more or less witness the meeting of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Pretty much a truly incredible geological phenomenon, you see? In the Geysir area, the Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes! Strokkur almost feels like something that will amaze you every time. As a matter of fact, at Gullfoss waterfall, the raw power of nature just sort of is there in its full glory. Really breathtaking! In a way. If you’re only doing one tour, so it could be this one. Right?
What to expect: Tours usually are in a comfy bus with guides who are kind of full of knowledge. Basically, these guides really are. As I was saying, most tours really last around 6-8 hours, and basically, you’ll get plenty of stops to take photos. Oh yeah. It’s that classic day trip, alright?
Tips: Layering your clothing really is very good for this tour, so to be sure, just wear good walking shoes, and just get your camera ready! In some respects, that tour actually does fly by! That, too. To be honest.

2. Blue Lagoon Relaxation
Want a truly Icelandic experience? Very well! The Blue Lagoon could be that thing, as it happens. Kind of known for its milky blue water and therapeutic properties! Very nice.
Why it’s great: Rich in minerals, the water is so lovely that people feel their skin thank them after a dip. In some respects! The location’s kinda picturesque too, nestled in a lava field. More or less you’re going to be doing a spa day in the middle of some very interesting rocks! Honestly, what could be better? You might as well relax!
What to expect: Your admission includes access to the lagoon. Typically includes towel service, but just so you know you’re more or less in control of those sorts of options. In the end.
Tips: Remember to book your visit really, really early, because, just so you know, that place tends to be packed. Kind of like wall-to-wall folks there. Like I was saying, don’t forget to hydrate, and don’t put your head under water! To be sure! Honestly.

3. Northern Lights Hunt
If visiting Iceland in the winter, seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) should be your wish! Absolutely it is. You know that wish to see that dancing green glow up in the dark. More or less. Truly fantastic!
Why it’s great: Chasing the lights really can be very exciting. To be sure. This, so too it’s almost like a cosmic experience! Or, even a little exciting.
What to expect: Basically, these tours involve a guide who tracks the aurora forecast, and they also drive you away from city lights so that you will see what it is you came for! Just great big auroras!. Or so. It just sort of is.
Tips: Warm clothes really are really important! Be patient and hope for a clear sky. Apparently the aurora is shy. Just barely visible.

4. Whale Watching Tour
Reykjavik’s location actually offers a pretty great place from which to begin a whale watching tour. Anyway, in those waters there may well be minke whales, humpbacks, orcas and porpoises! Definitely lots of whales.
Why it’s great: Sailing out from the old harbor provides you some amazing views. You’ll love it when the crew helps you learn a lot about whales too! This crew seems great.
What to expect: The boats, by the way, usually have indoor and outdoor viewing areas! I see they almost care about comfort too! Be that as it may, tours tend to last from 2-4 hours, so it could be you may or may not see a whale!
Tips: Wear warm clothes, because being out on the water often gets chilly, and perhaps that, arguably, might be a problem! If seasickness is usually your thing, then you might take something before the sail begins, I guess? I mean maybe.

5. South Coast Sightseeing
The South Coast has to be another extremely popular route. By the way. Here there usually are dramatic waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glacier views. Oh wow! So anyway.
Why it’s great: Seeing Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls are something people dream about! Almost anyway! Also seeing Reynisfjara’s basalt columns could even inspire. It just sort of does, just barely. Pretty inspirational!
What to expect: Count on a day long tour of sights with comfortable transport. Well, you just sort of expect that! Be that as it may, just keep the cameras handy because it does zoom by!
Tips: Wear waterproof clothing to stay dry as the mists can be kinda ever-present, just so you know, you see! Apparently even more when near a waterfall, naturally!
