Trogir’s Top 5 Food & Drink: A Tasty Guide
Trogir, Croatia is a knockout town. Is that right? It’s tucked away there on the Dalmatian Coast. Anyway, Trogir offers that picture-postcard appeal. You get those ancient stone streets, and so too you get Venetian architecture, plus, surprisingly, a super dining and drinking scene that reflects its history and location.
What is the best part? With such lots of restaurants and bars, choosing where to go could be hard. In that case, I have come up with a list of the five places you shouldn’t miss.
They offer tasty traditional Croatian food along with modern dishes, inviting local wines and fancy cocktails. So it should be said, are you set to enjoy that best food Trogir can boast? Right, keep on reading!
1. Restaurant Don Dino: Where Tradition Meets Taste
Very nicely placed away from that throng of the main Riva, Restaurant Don Dino turns up as a charming retreat where you, too, could explore real Dalmatian dishes. What’s great here is that Don Dino brings about a pleasing balance between some super classic recipes and some innovative cooking.
That is just so you will get served something new with what’s traditional. Actually, many who know declare that they really are top experts when it reaches sea bass. Anyhow, sea bass will show up filleted before your very eyes. Likewise, their seafood risotto, crammed full of the fruits of the sea, does have heaps of flavour. If that is not something you are a big fan of, maybe you will find meat choices – like, say, grilled lamb chops – or perhaps veggie dishes will appeal?
They are all locally sourced wherever possible. Don’t forget to complete things nicely with a choice of home-made desserts and local wines. Right, dining here tends to be much more of an intimate experience. It tends to be warm, inviting and has got nice service too. It’s what you’d have wanted on your first night out. I would go again for sure.

2. Konoba Trs: A Rustic Gem
Set along those narrow, winding streets of the old town is Konoba Trs. To explain, Konoba just stands for a ‘tavern’. Right, this little hideaway gives diners real genuine Croatian eats in that environment of what it might often seem. And here we have got a stone building decked out with local art. I would suggest sitting outside in that little courtyard. That truly has atmosphere when night starts closing in. And now something regarding food…
You need to know that it is often hearty fare. Picture that smell of grilled meats mixed in with that sound of clinking glasses. Get cracking with a sharing platter of local cheeses, plus smoked ham. Is that okay with you? After which it has got to be Pašticada, that famed Dalmatian beef stew. As a matter of fact, it really melts within the mouth and is bursting at those seams in flavour. Actually, for seafood devotees, it’s almost certain you can’t beat that grilled squid or, rather, those sardines. You get them all dripping with that freshly pressed olive oil.
Accompany it nicely with a glass or two coming directly from the local house wine. I suppose it is fair to comment about its flavour being powerful. You also get that friendly, down-to-earth service in place. That just is like enjoying food in your family’s house. This place has real, like real rustic appeal to it. Also, prices will be on that more welcoming end so you will not get struck with sticker shock.

3. Restaurant Kamerlengo: Dine with a View
Set at the foot of that historic Kamerlengo Fortress is Restaurant Kamerlengo. Is that right? It’s well known thanks to its absolutely knock-out sea views. By the way, are you able to picture that, by how cool it will be relaxing there whilst looking at those boats coming into harbour, all set upon a night backdrop?
What about those menus? In essence they major in seafood alongside contemporary dishes having a focus upon fresh local produce. I want you to think about that first course like it could be some divine oysters. Either that or sample any of those homemade pasta dishes. After which, it tends to be time for those main events. Do you want to think about grilled fish and shrimp or scampi which all melt in your mouth.
Anyway, a glass from a cool crisp local white goes seriously nice alongside these. Also meat eaters may like things on the chargrill there, while you also get other items like creamy risottos to be enjoyed instead. I would comment upon the fact that service here may just be first-rate. In fact, their waiters appear well-versed as to matching wines alongside dishes in ways you can find suits that individual palette.

On this outing you want a fun cocktail, that is why there is Piccolo Ponte. Like wow. That just sits right on that waterfront promenade with loads of cocktails. Is that right? Also get watching those sunset reflections shimmering on that ocean and there you may simply just feel so good that day came to a finish in great shape.
Their bar tends to be well-known as to their mixologists knowing stuff backwards. By the way I am serious there are cool fruity numbers alongside traditional concoctions. Just fancy a mojito? How do you feel on taking in something fizzy? They definitely appear sorted. Try taking any seat so that it can look on down over to Trogir’s bridge while soaking in the vibe over this place. Oh, in reality those sounds here, they don’t tend to all blast it away and neither will the drinks be at all crazy when pricing comes down to them.

5. Caffe Bar Y: Your Go-To Spot
Caffe Bar Y is your go to place for that place to wind with local folks too. As a matter of fact it doesn’t sell fanciest stuff; instead, it will have a nice welcome plus serves first-rate drinks which are value driven, day or nights throughout. The site exists along on pedestrian zone in which it just lends an occasion towards absorbing any scene surrounding thereabouts. In other words the town moves past you there plus things do feel super alive once getting nearer dusk moments when crowds emerge around for those before dinner times somewhere nearby.
Coffee tastes great to jump starting anything early from inside; they pull local wine which might be crisp for later times throughout midday times before finishing anything evening from taking Croatian spirits – brandies sometimes served for ending those moments ideally? I’ve noted how personnel are really kind over any points too whilst this environment turns genuine because its style exists free or any real gimmicks in many places. What is there?
Basically this seems right to make stop off point between all points touring during rest break throughout anything busy timetables perhaps before thinking further up that where that comes up next amongst destinations ahead elsewhere inside pleasant place!
