Now, maybe the historical heart of Xativa should be the next stop? It really feels great simply ambling through those old little streets, you know? There’s practically a discovery hiding all around every corner, seriously.
As I was saying the Plaza de la Seu, apparently the old cathedral square, is definitely a really great starting point. Then there is also the Calle Montcada, it’s really a grand street filled with palaces and historical buildings, is that something that interests you? Actually there are more to see, apparently including the Almodí, now the old wheat exchange, still boasting original Gothic windows.
I mean, are you curious about the old Hospital? It’s practically built by the Borgia family; then strolling round this area you almost feel the weight of history. A little like this old city wants to share it with all those who wander via its old stones.

3. Relaxing in the Jardines de la Paz
Need something peaceful now? Now then, Jardines de la Paz is a great choice for those folks that need a chilled moment. Apparently they are “Peace Gardens” as they are named, seriously so tranquil. It might be a perfect spot if you’re the kind of person who just wishes to read, ponder or really recharge the batteries.
Oh by the way, it has beautiful fountains and statues? As a matter of fact surrounded by vegetation, Jardines de la Paz is probably that chill corner in Xativa to discover on your visit. We went here in the mid-afternoon heat and it provided us shelter to enjoy the climate in perfect silence.

4. Hiking the Serra del Castell
Okay so ready for a serious hike now? Well the Serra del Castell almost promises some more testing trails together with some truly amazing panoramic views of Xativa and the area that surrounds it.
In fact experienced hikers will almost find the trail both a fun outing and it can really make for some good photo opportunities; still remember this? You can bring a snack too as a matter of fact and plan for spending a bit longer in this pleasant and truly great spot. That the path isn’t for the faint of heart shouldn’t stop you.

5. Cycling the Vía Verde de Xàtiva
