5. Mechelen: A Hidden Gem

If you want to step outside of what you often see, stop by Mechelen. Arguably, Zaventem visitors wanting less-touristed experiences should explore Mechelen, easily. I think, a central place for activity can often be found in Grote Markt, so get acquainted there, if you get there.

Did you know St. Rumbold’s Cathedral offers a challenging climb, a nice view, and the structure has all these historical parts which make an interesting climb? To me, strolling along Dijlepath proves peaceful, because you get a peek at hidden spots which could, just, enhance some perspective in what’s enjoyable in travel.
